No Rest For The Wicked - Review

A vampire soldier weary of life...
Centuries ago, Sebastian Wroth was turned into a vampire- a nightmare in his mind- against his will. Burdened with hatred and alone for ages, he sees little reason to live. Until an exquisite, fey creature comes to kill him, inadvertently saving him instead.

A Valkyrie assassin dispatched to destroy him...
When Kaderin the Cold Hearted lost her two beloved sisters to a vampire attack long ago, a benevolent force deadened her sorrow- accidentally extinguishing all of her emotions. Yet whenever she encounters Sebastian, her feelings- particularly lust- emerge multiplied. For the first time, she's unable to complete a
kill.

Competitors in a legendary hunt...
The course will take them through ancient tombs and catacombs, seeking relics around the world, and the prize for victory is powerful enough for Kaderin to change history and prevent her sisters' death. Sebastian competes as well, and begins winning- her. But when forced to choose between Sebastian and reuniting her family, how can Kaderin live without either?

No Rest For The Wicked is the 3rd book in the Immortals After Dark series, and I just say one thing...this book doesn't disappoint. As I read this book I found myself losing myself through the pages and wanting to know more and more about Kresley Cole's supernatural world of darkness, life, family and the true meaning of love- and that nothing can change it when it happens to you, or anyone else.

Plot - ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ I really enjoyed the plot, it didn't give to much away oh what was going to happen later in the book. At some points I was finding myself not beginning able to guess what was about to happen, or what had yet come to pass... I give the plot five stars!
Writing - ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ The writing in No Rest For The Wicked didn't really change any from A Hunger Like No Other, which I was glad to see. I enjoyed the writing in A Hunger Like No Other as such I enjoyed the writing in this book as well. I give the writing five stars!
Characters - ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ I really enjoyed the characters in No Rest For The Wicked. I enjoyed getting to know them and knowing what they liked, dislikes, or learning their each and every desires. I give the characters five stars!

Kaderin the Cold Hearted - I really enjoyed Kaderin's character. She was interesting and the way her emotions came flooding back with a simple look, or touch from Sebastian was just so romantic!

Sebastian Wroth - I don't know what it was about Sebastian but I found myself just feeling so lost when he was focus of the story at points. Learning about his turning, his family and such was just so amazing and sad all at the same time. He was strong, dark and mysterious- and so innocent to...!

Bowen - Bowen is back and strong as ever...! He is as well in the hunt for the powerful item in hope of getting his mate back. He will do anything to get his mate back, even if it means making some enemies in the process.

Riora - A sassy goddess who, when she doesn't get everything she wants, becomes pouty and angry and will stop at nothing to get her way!

Scribe - Scribe is Riora assistant and has a strange thing for...Kaderin- I think but I don't know. It was a little confusing to me.

Dasha - Kaderin's sister who was killed by a vampire many, many year ago!

Rika - Kaderin's youngest sister who was, along with her sister Dasha, killed by a vampire!

Overall I give this book ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ - nothing more and nothing less!

A Hunger Like No Other - Review

A mythic warrior who'll stop at nothing to possess her...
After enduring years of torture from the vampire horde, Lachlain MacRieve, leader of the Lykae Clan, is enraged to fine the predestined mate he's waited millennia for is a vampire. Or partly one. This Emmaline is a small, ethereal half Valkyrie/half vampire, who somehow begins to sooth the fury burning within him.

A vampire captured by her wildest fantasy...
Sheltered Emmaline Troy finally sets out to uncover the truth about her deceased parents- until a powerful Lykae claims her as his mate and forces her back to his ancestral Scottish castle. There, her fear of the Lykae- and their notorious dark desires- ebbs as he begins a slow, wicked seduction to sate her own dark cravings.

An all-consuing desire...
Yet when an ancient evil from her past resurfaces, will their desire deepen into a love that can bring a proud warrior to his knees and turn a gentle beauty into the fighter she was born to be?

I can sum up this book in one word: amazing. I loved this book! I read it all in one day! If you haven't heard of this series, or are debating if you should read it or not; stop your debating and pick this book up! I couldn't believe how much I was into this book, it was that good. I loved everything about it from the plot, to the writing, to the characters. All righty now on with the review!

Plot - As you can see from how many stars I rated the plot, I totally loved it...! I found myself wanting to read more and more, sometimes I was able to force myself to stop reading, but not five minutes later I was picking it back up and losing myself in it's pages. I give the plot five stars!
Writing - The writing was amazingly done- well to me anyway, and I couldn't stop myself from smiling as the book progressed. I found myself wanting more and more to happen so that the book would never end- and that's saying something...! I give the writing five stars!
Characters - The characters were a very interesting bunch. I enjoyed very much learning about them and their dreams and fears. I didn't find myself disliking them- okay there were a few that got on my nerves, but only a few. I really found myself liking the two main characters, Emmaline and Lachlain and Lachlain oldest friend, Bowe. I give the characters five stars!

Emmaline 'Emma' Troy - Emma is very soft spoken person, never having like conflict, or causing anyone she cared for pain. When she is in Paris researching her heritage Lachlain finds her and claims that she is his mate... I found myself really liking her. Reason for me liking her is that as the book progresses she finds herself and finds that she isn't some weakling that doesn't belong on either sides her Valkyrie or vampire side.

Lachlain MacRieve - Is the King of the Lykae. For the past hundred and fifty years he has been the prisoner of the vampire horde and tortured all though that time. Though his clan has thought him dead for the past hundred and fifty years or more, he has not lost his sanity and looks for revenge against the King of the vampire horde, Demestriu, of the pain he has inflicted on him.

Bowe - Bowe is part of the Lykae clan and will do anything for Lachlain. With all the pain he has gone through he will do anything to make Lachlain happy and to see that Emmaline will know exactly what Lachlain has gone through in his search for her.

Demestriu - The King of the vampire horde, knows as the oldest and most powerful vampire in the world.

Ivo - A vampire who wants to dethrone Demstriu and become king.

Overall I give this book - no more and no less!

Stranded With Her Ex - Review

Trouble in paradise?

An exotic wildlife preserve is a dream come true for conservation biologist Daniela Flores. Until she finds out her ex-husband is leading the research team. World-famous shark expert Sean Carmichael has only grown more ruggedly appealing in the time they were apart...the passion between them more intense than ever. But how could Daniela forgive Sean for betraying her when she needed him most?

Sean had come to the remote Farallon Islands to study killer sharks. Now a real killer is on the loose, threatening the woman he's never stopped loving. And this time, he knows he can't walk away. Marooned together during a deadly storm, Sean vows to go to hell and back to save Daniela...and for the chance to begin again.

Just got done with this book and decided to write a review! Now your probably wondering why did I give this book three stars instead of four, or five stars. Well I'll get to that in my review so just hold tight and you'll soon see why I rated it what I did. Now on with the review!

Plot - ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ I really enjoyed the plot. It was both familiar and refreshing all at the same time. I haven't read a book quite like this one so that's always a plus! I give the plot four stars!
Writing - ☆ ☆ ☆ I really thought the writing was really good and well orgainzed. It wasn't all thrown together so much that you couldn't understand what the characters were saying, or talking about. I give the writing three stars!
Characters - ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ I really enjoyed the characters. They were all original and I didn't find myself hating any of them! I give the characters four stars!

Daniela Flores - I liked her, even though she was a little annoying when she was trying to deny her feels and her wants and her needs... Daniela Flores is your average woman who loves her work and wants to move on with her life, after a tragic accident shattered her both mentally and emotionally.

Sean Carmichael - I really liked him, I don't know why I just did. Sean Carmichael is well known around the world as a shark expert and he loves his job, but now after seeing Daniela and having her on his team might be to much for him to handle.

Jason Ruiz - I liked him he was kind and a ladies man, but had a wandering eye. Jason Ruiz is a shark researcher just as Sean is, who is his idol.

Taryn - I both liked her and...disliked her. Taryn is a dolphin researcher and she has a thing for Sean, you can clearly tell from the first few pages in.

Brent Masterson - I liked him and he sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Brent Masterson is in charge of filming anything and everything. From shark attacks and close encounters.

Elizabeth Winters - Okay I didn't like her so much as the others, but she was a cool character. Elizabeth Winters is the only ornithologist on the team and has quite a chip on her shoulder.

Overall I give this book ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆- nothing more and nothing less!
